He is credited as being one of the producers that contributed a great deal to the spread and development of dance music in Portugal when there were very few similar artists. Like the Underground Sound of Lisbon, The Ozone and OLN, Alex S is a pioneer in this adventure. In 1994 he released his first 12" on Kaos Records under the name Urban Dreams
